What these bumper strips are designed to do

Bumper protector strips add a surface layer at the point where they are fitted. They can help reduce marks from minor scuffs and light everyday contact, while adding a carbon-effect exterior detail. They are accessories for surface protection, rather than structural bumper components.

They cannot prevent damage from a collision or a substantial impact. The carbon effect describes the appearance of the finish; it does not mean that the strip is made from carbon fibre.

Check the fitting area before you buy

  1. Measure the space. Compare the length and width in the product listing with your intended fitting area.
  2. Check the bumper shape. The adhesive needs an appropriate contact surface. A universal accessory can still be unsuitable for a sharply shaped or heavily curved area.
  3. Check nearby equipment. Keep sensors, reflectors, lights and other components clear.
  4. Compare the colour. Choose whether you prefer a matching finish or a more obvious contrast.

Self-adhesive fitting: prepare before removing the backing

Hold the strips in position without attaching them first. Check the alignment and symmetry, and make sure the intended placement does not interfere with another part of the vehicle. Then follow the supplied fitting instructions on a clean, dry, suitable surface.

Apply even pressure after positioning the strip. Repeatedly peeling it off and repositioning it can affect the adhesion. Check the individual product details for any specific surface preparation or aftercare instructions.

Keep the bumper clean when fitting accessories

Cleaning the surface also helps you inspect the area before applying an adhesive accessory. If you need separate tools for washing and drying, the microfibre wash mitt and drying cloth guide explains the Andmonc two-piece kit.

Frequently asked questions

How many strips are included?

Each of the three selected colour variants is a pack of two strips.

Do universal strips fit any bumper?

Fit still depends on the available space, bumper shape and mounting surface. Compare the measurements on the selected listing before ordering.

Are they made from carbon fibre?

The products are described as carbon effect. This identifies the finish, rather than a carbon-fibre material claim.
