The selected series uses infrared sensors to activate the light when the door opens and switch it off when the door closes. Choose the RGB colour you prefer and keep the selected colour as a steady light. The series is described as steady illumination rather than a flashing light effect.
The rechargeable power supply avoids running a permanent cable from the vehicle’s electrical system to the plates. When charging is needed, the quick-release arrangement lets you remove the illuminated plate from its support and put it back afterwards.
Adhesive mounting or suitable magnetic mounting
Use the included adhesive mounting supports on an appropriate prepared surface, following the product instructions. Magnetic mounting can be used where the vehicle surface is suitable for the magnet; it should not be assumed to work on every sill material.
Test the position before fixing the supports. Check that the plate and sensor arrangement do not interfere with door seals, closure or nearby trim, and that the automatic light works in the intended position.
USB charging and the stated battery estimate
The series describes battery life of up to approximately four months per charge. This is an estimate rather than a fixed period for every car: frequent door opening and longer illumination times will affect how often charging is needed.
Use the charging information for the chosen listing. The quick-release design is intended to let you recharge the plate without removing and replacing the adhesive support every time.
Sill plates or door logo projectors?
Sill plates illuminate the logo on a panel at the car’s threshold. Door logo projectors create a logo on the ground beside the door. Is vehicle wiring required?
No. The five sets selected for this guide use a rechargeable power supply and do not require a connection to the car wiring.
How many plates are supplied?

Can I select an RGB colour?
The selected series offers adjustable RGB colours with steady illumination in the chosen colour.
Is magnetic mounting suitable for every car?
